GLENDALE METROLINK TRAIN CRASH!!

Mr. O’Kane currently represents several victims of the tragic Glendale MetroLink train crash where 12 people died and over 80 people suffered catastrophic injuries. Frank currently represents several other families who have lost loved ones in other rail road related accidents.

UCI LIVER TRANSPLANT SCANDAL!!

Mr. O’Kane is currently representing the families of several UCI liver transplant patients who died waiting for a transplant, as well as several patients who waited as long as 6 years and never received a liver.
The O’Kane Law Firm is proudly
representing the victims of this scandal. The case alleges that UCI Medical Center’s liver transplant program intentionally turned down hundreds of viable livers while performing only a few transplants a year.
The rejected livers were given to other programs and successfully used to save lives. A recent Federal investigation of the UCI liver transplant program revealed that in the last year alone 66 viable livers were rejected by and only 4 liver transplants were performed that year at UCI.

In Choi v. State of California, Frank obtained a $5 million settlement for a 32-year-old mother and homemaker who sustained serious head trauma after an accident with a Caltrans vehicle. His other notable cases include McCall v. DOE Trailer, Co., ($4.55 million settlement) a product liability case concerning an overhead door, Pesso v. Myers, (verdict: $2.85 million), involving injuries from a vehicle rollover accident, Fell v. Doe ($3.65 settlement) in which a loading dock worker was seriously injured after being pinned by a truck against a commercial trash receptacle, Staley v. MTA ($3.2 Million settlement) in which a UCLA graduate student suffered multiple injuries when hit by an MTA bus, and Passy v. State Farm ($3.05 million settlement), an uninsured motorist case involving fibromyalgia and closed head injury. Most recently Frank settled the case of Peterson v. Quickrete for the wrongful death of a 50-year-old father of three in the sum of $7.75 million. Frank is also handling several cases on behalf of victims of the Glendale MTA train crash.

Frank served for three years on the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Los Angeles County and American Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America
and is a member of the American Business Trial Lawyers Association.

Upon his graduation from California State University at Northridge ( B.A. 1976), Frank began working as a paralegal for the plaintiff firm of Greene, Broillet, Panish and Wheeler in Santa Monica, CA. He received his law degree at University of LaVerne College of Law (J.D. 1988) and was admitted to practice that same year. For the next 15 years Frank developed exceptional trial and negotiating skills while preparing and litigating a multitude of cases involving catastrophic injury, death and other large civil money matters.
